I am also in a similar boat - I have received all the receipt notices except my wife's AOS. My wife has received EAD and FP, waiting for the AP. My lawyer suggested to wait for 30 calendar days, after which he is going to initiate a service request for duplicate notice. I will repost, if I get any updates.

A friend of mine who went to India's premier institution - IIT in India and then to IIM worked for one of the fortune 100 companies here in the US.
He got married and decided to move to UK because his equally qualified spouse being on a dependent Visa could not work due to the obsolete rules.
Both husband and wife are well on thier way to permanent residency in UK.

I look at this image and find no main point of interest, my eye is left to simply rome around the image and is not driven to "the" subject matter.
I had a quick play.... a slight rotate, crop and clone to come up with this...

The diagonal line leads you in from the rear to the main flower, while the same happens from the front. You could play with the DOF of this image also (either in camera of PS) as narrow DOF would help draw attention to main subject flower of your choice, eg:.....

Also, the eye will naturally fall to the brightest part of an image, so all background flowers that may have distracted from subject flower have been cloned out.

Guys, I received THE magic email also this week. Card Production ordered on May 14th. HUGE Relief!!!
I just wanted to pass on a few tips. These steps may or not have expedited my processing but the timing sure was suspiciously fortuitous:
a) On May 7th, since the NSC I-485 processing date was more than 30 days past my RD, my lawyer sent an official email to NSC asking them for an update on my application. According to my lawyer, CIS is obligated to reply within 45 days and in most cases instead of them saying that this specific application falls outside their processing dates, they just approve the application. Of course, your case has to be approvable (PD has to be current etc)
b) On May 9th, I set up an Infopass appointment where the IO told me that my case was in transit from a different service center back to NSC! She also told me both our NCs were complete.
c) My lawyer was also getting ready to file another round of EAD/AP applications which, according to her, draws CIS's attention to the fact that this application is ready for processing and falling outside the average time range.
Maybe the combination of inquiry email and Infopass helped moved the case or maybe it did not. Probably does not hurt to try at least once and, of course, you don't want to overdo it and burden the system.
Just my $0.02. Hope it helps. Best of luck with your applications. I learned a ton from these forums and (if nothing else) out of sheer habit, will be coming back all the time. Will try my best to help out IV where I can. Cheers!

We did submit all these requested I-693 and photos during the initial filing. My question is, does USCIS request for new I-693 if the original one submitted is older than one year or more?

My understanding is the same as Glus and Raj. However, I am also afraid that GCHope2011 might be right, in which case I might stay illegally more than 180 days if I wait long enough and would have to wait 3 years to get back to the U.S.
I was holding H4 visa before I started using the EAD.
Relinking the 485 with my approved NIW 140 is probably not going to work as my priority date for that is Feb,2008 and it is not current yet.
I definitely want to speak with an attorney so Gus I will PM you.
You are fine man..I was in the same situation as yours...I had filed for LC Sub I140 in June 2006 and it was pending. I filed I-485 in July 2007 based on this I-140. Then I filed another I-140 in Jan 2008 based on my original labor and it was approved in Feb 2008. All this time, my first I140 was pending and it was denied in Sep 2008. I thought I am ggoing to lose my I-485 because it was filed based on that.
My lawyers confirmed me from AILA Inquiry that my I-485 will still be active based on the I-140 approved in Feb 2008. You dont need any re-linking. All USCIS needs ti keep I-485 active is one approved I-140. I confirmed this with 2 Info pass appts. My I-485 is pre-adjudicated status and it has been 2 years...got multiple EADs, AP, travelled and came in..no issues...so dont worry. Your I-485 will be actibe based on your approved I-140. You dont need any re-links.

You can't come back on expired visa if you applied for a new visa in Canada if the request for new visa is denied. To come back on expired visa you will be using automatic visa revalidation and according to 2002 AVR memo, AVR applies only for Canada or Mexico if you visit for less than 30 days, haven't applied for a new visa stamp at a consulate abroad and are still eligible to be admitted in the status.
If you apply for visa and get denied, you can go back to home country and reapply or enter on AP if you have it. And entry on AP is not an admittance to US, it is only being paroled into US.

Today 17th August, 2007 my I-485 packet was about to reach at Texas Service Center and unfortunately when I track my packet it shows �Notice Left� on USPS site, they mention they will try to deliver on Next business day. When I called at USPS , one lady picked up phone and she told it was PO Box no so we cant deliver. It is available to them to pick up but the man from USCIS might pick it up on early monday morning. Now I am worried does that mean my mailing date is Aug 17th or Aug 20th.
SO now USCIS will accept my application or not ?? Please advise ? Any body has same situation ?
